Aviation Operations Manager: Full-Time Position The ideal candidate must be reliable, willing to learn, honest and trustworthy. They must be self-motivated with strong customer service skills and excellent organisational skills to manage daily operations. Skills required include: strong organisational skills, good attention to detail, ability to work both independently and in a team, strong communication skills and a polite phone/email manner, willingness to work early mornings and weekends in the busy season (offset by time off in the off-season) a basic understanding of farming, and knowledge of ag chemicals would be preferred ability to work under pressure, competent in Microsoft Office programs, unrestricted manual driver’s licence is essential. Responsibilities include: liaising with farmers and agronomists to book and schedule work using the CLASS software program and Google Earth to map and process jobs, briefing pilots and ground crew and liaising continuously to ensure timely and accurate application of work, communicating with growers and their neighbours to manage hazards, liaising with chemical suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product, monitoring inventory of on-site chemical stock and providing monthly usage reports, pricing and invoicing of jobs in a timely manner, recording and filing jobs, weather and chemical usage in line with NSW EPA guidelines, occasionally filling in for ground crew to load aircraft during peak season. For this role, skills, attitude and willingness to learn are more important than experience. On the job training and support from the MD will be provided.
