TRAINING
Field Air operates an agricultural aviation business from three established bases supported by a fleet of turbine and piston agricultural aircraft. Our pilots spray, spread, sow and provide oil spill and firebombing support to government agencies.

Pilot Training
Field Air specializes in providing agricultural pilot training and support for aerial operators in the Asian Pacific area, particularly to those upgrading to high-performance turbine aircraft. We have for many years provided agricultural pilot training for local and foreign, English and non-English speaking pilots. These pilots have come from a variety of civilian and military backgrounds. At our Ballarat, Australia base we provide modern training facilities with state-of-the-art training aircraft and experienced instructors. Our facilities have been inspected and approved by the Philippines (CAAP), Indonesian (DGCA) and the Chinese (CAAC). For foreign customers training and supervision time can also be provided at a location of your choice overseas. Syllabuses are tailored to meet both the customer and their local Aviation Regulator.

Training Aircraft
Field Air conducts training utilising two types of dual control agricultural aircraft, the Gippsland Aeronautics GA-200 and the Air Tractor AT-504. Each of these aircraft are modern, well equipped and maintained by our own maintenance personnel. For many reasons we believe that training from day one should be conducted in a purpose-built agricultural aircraft that has the characteristics, load capacities and flight altitudes that the aircraft pilots will fly when they are fully qualified.
